A 55 gallon tank is very standard. If you find one online that is inexpensive just go ahead and get it. It will fit your tank. I think it would be much easier to go to a local pet shop and get one. Especialy if you have a Petsmart or a Petco or something like that. Personaly I like to see what I am buying so I don’t shop online.

if you can’t find it at a department/pet store, try ebay.com or craig’s list- thats what we did for finding a 100 gallon fish tank/lid/heaters/etc.
