Check your local garage sales/thrift stores. If you do find a cheap one, just make sure it is sealed good before using it. Also you can scour local online listings like Craig’s list and your newspaper! Hope this helps!
Not new…and please run away from wally world. Check ebay.and such..but I think shipping will cost quite a bit. Just remember you will probably get what you pay for…and thats cheap…if used I bet you will replace the equipment shortly after buying.
To add to the above, Freecycle – everything listed is free:
You can also try Ebay or Aquabid: , but look for sellers near where you live so you don’t have to pay shipping.
Here’s the craigslist link:
Depending on where you live, some fish stores sell used equipment, and fish/aquarium clubs hold public auctions a few times a year to get rid of members’ surplus livestock and equipment. You can check on local clubs on these links: , then see if they have individual websites.
Try e bay, it’s surprising the bargains you can get. If someone is selling one local to you, you can collect and save on the postage cost. Also check the local pet shops, they tend to have adverts for items for sale. You could also put your own in saying fish tank wanted.
Probably the least expensive place will be Craiglist or someplace like that. You might want to check your local Goodwill or sometimes they have end of the month sales at those storage unit places that people haven’t kept up their rent on. Good luck!
Do not look for something cheap here!!!! If you get a cheap tank it will probably develop a stress ***** in the not to near future and result in a HUGE MESS!!!! Always go with quality when shopping for the tank and stand.
try this online site:
ask them if they have a
50+ gallon fish tank and a filter
and E-mail them about your
order! if your order is not
in the list just E-mail them
and ask if they have one!
and the site will E-mail u
back if they have so u
will know!
and u will know!
if they have!
geez I’m having a hard time finding a 30 gallon and matching stand for under 100!!! Try looking in your local listings. Aquariums are not very cheap so for one that size it would HAVE to be used if you want all the stuff with it to.
check craigslist. they really have some great steals on there.. i have seen some really big (i mean 200 gallons plus) tanks for dirt cheap. just look up your location, search “fish tanks” or “aquariums” and contact the seller and go take a look.
