    If one of the fishes die, leave it there! It releases nitrogen. Germies release nitrogren too.

    Hi Stephen, The first attached link tells you about the Nitrogen cycle which is fundamental in establishing a healthy environment & the second tells you about the role & benefits of plants in the aquarium, scroll down to ‘plants’ in sub menu on left-there are 4 articles.
